Is the Cash out Curse a Real Thing?

If you play online poker on a regular basis, you probably have heard rumors of the cash out curse. This is the curse that supposedly befalls players who withdraw too much from their player accounts. It supposedly goes along with foolhardy decisions and unending streaks of bad luck. The idea is that you withdraw too much; the small amount that you do leave in your bank account will be quickly destroyed by a bad luck streak. It is important to note that this curse only befalls players who take out more than they should actually withdraw to still be within their bankroll limits. It is fine to withdrawal any winnings that you make above and beyond what you actually need, but not okay to take out the money that you need to stay at the stakes you like.
The thing about the cash out curse is that it is actually true. If you take out more than you can afford, you will undeniably end up in a worse poker online position. This is not a curse in the traditional sense, but it is still definitely something that you should avoid. We learn bankroll management skills for a reason when we start seriously considering playing poker. If you decide to cash out more than you should, you are just actively trying to bring the curse down on yourself at the casino.
