State Minimums

  • Bodily Injury Liability: $10,000/$20,000 Limit
  • Property Damage Liability (PDL): $10,000 Limit

Florida is a no-fault state which means that your insurance firm will pay for damages from accidents no matter of who’s at fault. Since noone is found to be at fault, you end up losing some of your legal rights to litigate under a no-fault system. Details of a no-fault system are different from state to state.

Personal Injurty Protection in your auto insurance coverage assists in paying for “reasonable and necessary” medical expenses for you and any passengers involved in the auto accident. Laws in Florida require a minimum Personal Injury Protection auto insurance coverage of $10,000 for one person and $20,000 for all persons in the accident.

To remain protected on the chance that you are involved in an accident with somebody who either does not currently maintain auto insurance or doesn’t have enough insurance to cover expenses, you should consider adding Underinsured Motorist Bodily Injury auto insurance policy to your Florida auto insurance policy policy. You’re not necessitated by law to have this type of auto insurance, but it is urged in order to protect yourself financially, on the chance that you are in an accident with an underinsured driver.

The average United States auto insurance rate in 2003 was $914. The average premium in Florida was $1,104 – nearly $200 higher. Several people incorrectly think insurance rates are shaped and fixed by the government, but this is incorrect.

Florida insurance rates can be different between two people and one company to the next. To get the most affordable auto insurance quotes, you should shop rates on the web or contact a licensed insurance broker. You also may be eligible for particular insurance discounts that can help lower your premiums.

Compared to 2006, the next year saw insurance costs decline by .5% to 1%. The first months of 2008 continued to indicate drops, but then the insurance costs began to increase once more through the first part of 2009. Unless you’re regularly seeking the special rate quotes, you’re likely laying out too much. Every year, motorists should be shopping for auto insurance quotes online or call a licensed insurance agent.. Using the web can help you see if you’re overpaying for insurance and if you can get deals.

Which is the best plan?

06/14/2008

My husband just changed companies, and we are trying to decide which health insurance from Blue Cross we should get. There are a couple different plan options, with different deductibles and different copays. We need to figure out which one covers all the costs of having a baby since our last insurance didn’t and we ended up owing so much money.

We want to have another baby soon, so hopefully we’ll pick the right insurance to minimize these costs. We’ll have to see what happens though. The new insurance will have to be better than the old since we really weren’t happy with that insurance.

We were really unhappy with our old health insurance, but there was nothing we could do about it since it was the only plan my husband’s company offered. Well, he just changed jobs so now we can get health insurance from Blue Cross, and we are much happier with the plan options we have to choose from.

The old plan had a large deductible we had to pay, and the new plan doesn’t have any deductible for the most part, we just need to make copays, which happen to be smaller in this new plan as well. This will make things so much easier.
