All Softball uniformSoftball uniforms have changed a lot from what they were when the game first started. They used to be longer with sweaters or leather jackets. Now, the jackets to cover up players tend to be nylon, but underneath all that, is a softball uniform shirt and undershirt. The shirt will be colorful often, no longer pin-striped, and will usually have a player’s number on it, either in single or double digits, up to 99. There are no players numbered “zero” but it is common to see 05 instead of 5. The shirts can be made of cotton, nylon or polyester. They sometimes have sleeves or sometimes are a sleeveless variety, and can have a rounded neckline or a v-shaped neck. Gordon International Softball players wear softball uniform shorts or longer tight-fitting pants, depending on the team. The pants protect better against abrasion when sliding around the field. Some pairs of pants are even padded, particularly in adult teams. Softball uniforms also can require wearing of a baseball-type hat, but only by men.
